I am an accessibility engineer with over 13 years of experience in software design & development and a passion for developing accessible software.
I am working at a Scientific Computing company in the Greater Boston Area (Massachusetts, US). In my current role, I develop resources to scale accessibility improvement efforts across the organization and provide training to cross functional development teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Help shape accessibility strategy
- Develop learning resources for different audience and needs (e-learnings, screencast, instructor led workshops, job-aids, resource centers)
- Interpret WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) for complex widgets and product workflows
- Consult with designers and developers during different phases of software development lifecycle and participate in solution reviews
- Conduct baseline audits and compliance assessment
- Publish VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) for multiple products
Outside of my work hours, I like to engage with people working on accessibility or would like to learn about accessibility.
